Hi. I'm a web developer programming mostly in asp.net, using VB.net. I've been working on asp/asp.net for about 9 years now, and have been at the same company since May, 1999. When I started working here, I was a mainframe programmer using COBOL, CICS, and JCL. After a year of working on the mainframe, I got my first taste of web development when I was asked to help build a demo portal for our core mainframe contract. My foray into web development only lasted 3 or 4 months as we were only developing a limited scope portal, and the full scale conversion to a web application was put on hold following it debut at the Symposium. Another year passed, then I was pulled from the mainframe to become a full time web developer.
